Days 2-4...at last!

Becky, Caley and I left the North Fork campground on the Taylor Creek this morning around 10:00. After a fantastic breakfast of eggs and sausage with our new friend, Brian, we set out for another amazing ride. To recap from the last few days, we've enjoyed some of Colorado's most amazing riding spots, including Eleven Mile Canyon, Trout Creek Pass, Cottonwood Pass, Taylor Reservoir and Almont. It was so pretty in some spots I wanted to cry. We have endured seriously intense head winds, especially on highways 24 and 50. Thankfully, we haven't seen a drop of rain. So far, we've ridden 276.25 miles and climbed 17,056 ft. with God only knows how much weight strapped to us. I think it's literally 60 lbs each.
We've met all sorts of new and old friends on the road. Big shout out to Cari and Arianna, Matt and Daniel, Bob and his sweet dad, sweet, sweet Bryan and his orange juice, and Doug and Lee. Thank you all for your amazing encouragement.
My favorite quote so far was from a guy in a big truck with Texas plates on the west side of Cottonwood Pass. He rolled down his window and yelled at us, "You guys rode all the way up all the way up that pass?! That's some serious girl power!"
One final note, in case you haven't noticed yet, we've re-routed our course quite a bit because we want to stay in the southern part of the state. Becky and I have never seen much of this area, so we're really psyched. Thanks to all, we love you!
